Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland
New Zealand Land Search and Rescue was established as an incorporated society in 1994. Our volunteers operate in suburban, urban, wilderness and rural areas including regional and forest parks, shorelines and caves.
Far North Search and Rescue provides land based search and rescue operations under guidance of the NZ police and RCC. Our unpaid professionals offer their specialist search and rescue skills free to the public 24/7 via the New Zealand Police and the Rescue Coordination Centre.
Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity to assist members of the community who are at risk of getting lost or going missing? Land Search and Rescue is seeking empathetic and well-organised volunteers to help issue WanderSearch devices.
How does being part of a friendly and meaningful team sound to you? Far North Search and Rescue are looking for volunteers who can be on call 24/7 and offer their specialist search and rescue skills free to the public. A range of training is provided.
