Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland
Established in 2002, the Bream Head Conservation Trust is in an operational partnership between iwi, the community, the Department of Conservation, Whangarei District Council, NZ Refining and Foundation North. Our vision is to restore Bream Head as a place in which natural ecology is restored, with healthy forest and abundant bird song and where visitors can experience nature at its best.
It's a trap! BHCT is installing some new technology and some new traps on our perimeter and could use some help with the installation.
Bream bay people - this is for you!! on the "hunt" for some new volunteer trappers at Bream Head Scenic Reserve. There's nothing better for the mind or body than a walk through the beautiful native bush of BHSR :)
What to make a difference? We are always looking for fit and committed individuals to join our teams. We have several voluntary opportunities that include the more physical work of a volunteer trapper to more relaxing work in our native plant nursery.
