Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland
Fire and Emergency New Zealand relies on volunteers in our 600 plus stations nationwide, to help communities prevent, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies. As well as firefighting, we attend medical incidents, motor vehicle accidents, severe weather events and other requests for help. We also install and check smoke alarms and help to improve fire safety in our communities.
There are 42 fire-stations around Northland depending on volunteers. Almost anybody can join a Brigade! Operational firefighters are the front-line members of the Brigade, assisted by the operational support they respond to emergencies.
