Become part of our December Youth Holiday Program! Help your community, gather experience for your CV and join us for an afternoon and/ or a full day of community action!

Ecofriendly Gift Wrapping Afternoon

We're creating sustainable gift wrapping options for our community pop up in December! Join us and minimise gift wrapping waste in Whangārei by creating alternative and personalised options to wrap presents. This will help the environment by keeping material from landfill and we will all learn how to make gift wrapping more sustainable.

Tuesday 17th December, 10am - 4.30pm

KiwiNorth Action Day

We will help KiwiNorth (Museum, Kiwi House, Heritage Park) and the other community organisations at the Heritage Park with a range of tasks on their property, from weeding and working on the land and in the workshops, to social media support. This will help to show off what we as a community have to offer and supports the whole of Whangārei by attracting more visitors.

About the program

the program is free to attend
program for anyone aged 14 - 24 (younger with special permission, please contact Verena)
lunch and morning/ afternoon tea provided
transport from central Whangārei (Forum North carpark) provided, meetup at 9.30am
our office will be open from 8am for anyone who needs to catch a ride and needs a hangout space before the program starts
basic physical fitness required
