NZ Sign Language Beginners Workshop for Community Organisations and Volunteers - Afternoon Session
Learning NZSL makes you a better communicator and listener, whether you are a volunteer or a volunteer manager.
Kia ora, welcome to Volunteering Northland
More than 24,000 New Zealanders use New ZealandSignLanguage every day. NZSignlanguage is a combination of hand shapes, facial expressions and body movements.
Why should you learn NZSL? Learning NZSL makes you a better communicator and listener - it literally opens your eyes to new ways of talking to others. Whether you are a volunteer or a volunteer manager, it is really beneficial to know the basics of NZSL to connect with Deaf or hard-of-hearing volunteers, team members and the wider community.
In this Beginners course you will learn to introduce yourself, ask and answer short questions, as well as learning the alphabet for basic communication.
We will run 2 beginner courses - just pick the date and time that works best for you:
Cost: $20 pP
If the cost of the workshop is a barrier, please contact us directly for a sponsored spot: info@volunteeringnorthland.nz
