Essential First Aid-Kerikeri

Prepares you to respond to the most common emergency situations

The Essential First Aid training prepares you to respond to the most common emergency situations and is recommended for low-risk workplaces.

One-day/8-hours First Aid Training,
It meets the requirements of the Foundation First Aid Certificate. NZQA Unit Standards: 06401, 06402.
Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a New Zealand Red Cross First Aid Certificate, valid for 2 years.

This course covers:
Primary assessment.

  • Recovery (Stable side) position.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – adult, child and infant.
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Management of choking – adult, child and infant.
  • Life-threatening bleeding and shock.
  • Burns.
  • Poisoning.
  • Fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries.
  • Medical emergencies.

Facilitator: NZ Red Cross

Ticket Price:
$35 (+GST) per person for member organisations
$60 (+GST) per person for non-member organisations

Our courses are only open for non-for-profit organisations staff and volunteers.

Tickets might be limited to 2 attendees per organisation, to ensure all organisations have a fair chance of booking their volunteers and staff in. We usually wait until a week before the course date to lift ticket restrictions.
