Board member
Jigsaw North is a progressive social service organisation providing counselling, social work support and parenting programmes for family and whānau in the greater Whangārei area. The board role is voluntary, however we do provide the tools to do the mahi, some nice kai and a very friendly and welcoming environment.
TrainingInduction will be provided - to the board, governance, our organisation and the social services context, with access to specific governance training as needed.
Specific requirementsIf you have aroha and commitment for the well-being of tamariki and whānau, and understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the ability to work in a team environment, an awareness of community issues and diversity, the ability to think strategically, with good communication skills and a desire to be a board member we’d love to hear from you.
An understanding of tikanga Māori and networks in Māori community would also be an advantage, and an understanding or experience in governance and/or planning and financial skills.
