Handyperson

Abbeyfield provides supported co-housing for older people, offering companionship, security and independence. Abbeyfield Whangārei is situated in Kensington and can accommodate 12 residents.

We would love help with various handy-person & building tasks around the property:

• moving furniture occasionally when the residents move
• fixing the doors & windows (they are drafty)
• cleaning windows

The work can be done anytime during working hours to fit in with your schedule.
Ideally, you would volunteer once a week for a couple of hours.
 
Training
We will show you around and chat about which work you want to do and what support or supplies you will need for that. No additional training needed.
