Education Team members for Whangārei Trade Aid

Trade Aid is a social enterprise creating fairness in trade. We work with small food and craft producers around the world, and we support and educate kiwi consumers to join with us in creating a world where trade is fair for all. Founded right here in New Zealand in 1973, Trade Aid continues in its mission to create fairness in the world.

As part of this mission Whangārei Trade Aid Trust is creating an Education Team to engage with the local community about trade justice and we are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to be part of this team, either in addition to joining our Trust or as Education Team members.

We will discuss your skills and areas of interest, but experience is not essential as training can be made available.

Specific requirements
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join our Education Team and undertake a range of activities to deliver the Trade Aid story and trade justice message to relevant community, business, and school groups in Whangārei.

These can include planning and holding events such as on World Fair Trade Day, stalls at community events like the Vegan Expo, and presentations to schools or interest groups.
It would be ideal for team members to have good contacts within the education sector and/or with other relevant community groups, but this is not essential.

If you are passionate about fair trade and social justice and have the interest, skills and experience to contribute as an active member of our team we would love to hear from you.
