St John Area Committee | Komiti Takiwā - Kerikeri
Volunteer remotely. St John is at the frontline of medical response, providing Ambulance Services throughout New Zealand. But - we're also part of a much broader picture of health care, through our provision of first aid training, event medical services, AEDs (defibrillators), first aid kits and supplies, medical alarms, and a wide range of community programmes including St John Youth, Health Shuttles, Caring Callers, Therapy Pets and much more.
At the heart and face of their communities are St John Area Committees. They host fundraising events across the country which directly contributes to local community programmes and initiatives. Each Area Committee is different because each focus on the most pressing needs in their community.
Our Kerikeri Area Committee are currently looking for new members to join their volunteer whanau. Ideally you would bring one or two of these skills:
- Project coordination
- Committee management
- Community health
- Volunteer recognition and sustainability
- Finance skills (Medius Flow or similar an advantage)
Our Area Committee members make a huge difference in supporting our work and touch every aspect of life and work at St John. Along the way, they get involved in their local communities and develop strong friendships with like-minded people.
If volunteering in a role where you can make a positive difference appeals to you, then we would love to hear from you!
- good communication skills
- knowledge in one or more of the above mentioned skills ideal
