Phone Call Superstar - Virtual

Do you enjoy chatting to people on the phone? We need people like you to make calls to our students and volunteers to check how they are going, and to let them know about the things RYALT is doing. Because we work in the cloud it is easy for students to become isolated, so they need those friendly phone calls. We will give you a script, but you are welcome to adapt it, so you sound more like yourself. It’s just a guide. Our team will also support you in doing your role well. Calls can include ringing places like libraries to check if they need more bookmarks sent out. Our marketing team also need people to ring companies on our database to check the contact details we have are accurate. You can choose the type of call you prefer making. There is quite a variety of different options. All phone calls are made using internet phone (VOIP) from your home computer or mobile phone, and you will need to enter comments into a spreadsheet, so a computer and internet access are essential, but it won't cost you anything for the calls. We have an IT volunteer who can help you with setup. It is valuable to note that upon completion of minimum three months of work with us we can provide good references, which will be useful for your career progression. By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s): Goal 4 – Quality Education
Time commitment of 2 - 4 hours a week.
