E-receptionist to answer phones

We have an internet (VOIP) phone which enables people anywhere with a mobile phone or computer to answer our phone if they have the correct settings. We have very busy staff who need some assistance to answer the phone. We need people to answer the phone so that our callers - who are often very nervous about ringing us - get a real person and a friendly first experience of us. Your job would be to make them feel comfortable, have a little chat, take down their details and put a message for us into our messaging system, "Slack". From there, someone in the office will send it to the right person. By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s): Goal 4 – Quality Education Goal 10 – Reduced Inequalities

Monday to Friday either a morning slot of 9am-1pm or an afternoon slot of 1-5pm. Or any hours approximating those that you can offer us. We are very flexible. You may be receiving 1 - 5 calls per shift, not too many to affect you carrying on with your daily activities.

Specific requirements
Excellent telephone manner and attention to detail when taking messages. Need to be fluent in English and compassionate. As long as the message detail is correct we don't mind if your spelling isn't great!
