We are looking for Volunteers that can help us coordinate our events. As an Event Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for hirers that hire our spaces outside of office hours. You will be briefed by the Venue Manager and will have all necessary information on hand. In this varied role, you make sure that the expectations of our hirers are met, and events run smoothly.
The shifts can range from 2 hours to a full day and can be shared between multiple volunteers. Shifts are scheduled on an online platform, and you can take as many or little shifts as you like.
The Turner Centre is a performing arts, event, and conference venue in the heart of Kerikeri. Our 408-seat theatre attracts international, national, and local shows to the Bay of Islands. We also have multi-purpose spaces available for community groups and commercial companies to use. We call on a large group of volunteers to run our events (bar staff, ushers, hospitality etc).
Training will be provided on site during events. A current First Aid Certificate is appreciated but not required. During your first few shifts you will be shadowing an experienced Event Coordinator.
Experience is not required.
