Reference nr. 2790 : The Turner Centre Kerikeri
Usher

We are looking for friendly and helpful people, who will be taking on the role of ushers during our Auditorium events. As an usher you will show our guests around the building, control access to the Auditorium doors, guide late-comers to their seats, answer general questions and, in case of an emergency, help evacuate the building.

The shifts are generally around 4 hours, mostly during evenings and weekends. Shifts are scheduled on an online platform, and you can take as many or little shifts as you like.

The Turner Centre is a performing arts, event, and conference venue in the heart of Kerikeri. Our 408-seat theatre attracts international, national, and local shows to the Bay of Islands. We also have multi-purpose spaces available for community groups and commercial companies to use. We call on a large group of volunteers to run our events (bar staff, ushers, hospitality etc).

Training
Training will be provided on site during events. A current First Aid Certificate is appreciated but not required. On occasion, we provide free training sessions run by Volunteering Northland. During your first few shifts you will be shadowing an experienced usher.

Specific requirements
Experience is not required; however, we are looking for people that are passionate about customer service.
