Reference nr. 2781 : Bay of Islands Vintage Railway
Bike Loaders (Kawakawa)

The Bay of Islands Vintage Railway Trust is a heritage railway in Kawakawa. It is unique as it is the only working railway in New Zealand where the trains travel down a State Highway and right through the middle of a busy town. We schedule 4 trains to run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every day in school holidays.

Bicycle loaders are needed to safely load and unload bicycles, and to ensure these are securely stowed for travel between our stations.

Training
Full training will be given by current staff. Hours - all day when on duty. Duty days rostered to fit. Occasional transport/carpooling available from Whangarei.

Specific requirements
Volunteers need to be fit and strong with an outgoing pleasant but authoritative personality. A love of history is useful. Holding a current First Aid certificate would be an advantage.
