Reference nr. 2651 : Kiwi Coast
Trappers

We welcome new trapping volunteers to join a roster that takes you only 4 hours once a month and timing can be flexible between work days and weekends. Get out into the hills and get fit checking traps to contribute to the survival of 100+ kiwi in the Brynderwyn Hills.

The vision of Kiwi Coast is one of thriving kiwi, safely roaming throughout Northland, nurtured and cared for by Northlanders. We are creating New Zealand’s first modern day kiwi corridor. Last year we removed nearly 1/2 a million pest animals and plants -so help us to make a difference.

The Kiwi Coast is a collaborative initiative that links over 160 community-led conservation projects, iwi and hapu, schools, forestry companies, government agencies and organisations in the shared vision of restoring the health of our native forests, helping native wildlife thrive and increasing Northland kiwi numbers.
