Duty Manager
We are looking for experienced and certified Duty Managers for each event where alcohol is sold. This can be during an Auditorium Show, Corporate Event, Community Play or Concert.
The Duty Manager is responsible for the compliance with the conditions of our licence and provisions of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, which include ensuring the safe and responsible sale and supply of alcohol and minimising alcohol-related harm.
The Turner Centre is a performing arts, events and conference venue in the heart of Kerikeri. Our 408-seat theatre attracts international, national and local shows to the Bay of Islands. We also have multi-purpose spaces available for community groups and commercial companies to use. We call on a large group of volunteers to run our events (bar staff, ushers, hospitality etc).
Please note: Most shifts will be in evenings & weekends.
TrainingIf your Duty Managers Certificate has expired, we can apply for a renewal. Duty Managers also need to have a current First Aid Certificate.
Full on the job training will be given by our present experienced Duty Managers.
Specific requirementsYou have the ability to adapt to situations easily. You are happy, positive and can work with a team of volunteers. With your sense of humour and excellent customer service you know how to talk to different types of people. You stay calm under pressure and are confident.
