Far North Summer Sounds 2020
Far North Summer Sounds is family-friendly music event organised by Be Free Youth team. It will be held on SUNDAY 16th FEBRUARY 2020 at Kainui Vineyard in Waipapa and features a variety of live musical acts throughout the afternoon.
The event runs from 1pm until 7pm and we expect a good turnout as it attracted 1,000 happy festival goers last year.
We have numerous roles available, including setup of the event (SAT late), parking duties, greeting festival-goers at entrance, bag checks, collection of koha donations, food preparation, rubbish removal, and packing down (SUN late).
We may rotate the roles to give volunteers variation, and will provide lunch money to spend at the event.
Our event is raising funds for our Mentoring through Music Programme, which we provide free to 13 - 18 year olds in our community. This programme helps our youth gain confidence, self-esteem, discipline and collaborative skills to help them avoid addictions in later life. We have had great success and our youth perform all over the region at events, competitions and festivals.
TrainingNo experience is necessary and we are happy to provide references for future job applications. Young volunteers welcome too!
Specific requirementsWe are seeking volunteers with a 'can-do attitude', who enjoy pitching in, and are comfortable dealing with people.
Basically people who are motivated, honest and cheerful - just like we are!
