Tikipunga Swimming Pool supervision

We need volunteers for 2 hours a day to assist the life guards with supervision, collection of entry money and putting arm bands on swimmers.

You will be needed for 2 hours, on the day/s you are rostered.

Pool will be open to the community every day (from 12.00 noon - 6.00 pm) from Wednesday 18th December until the end of January, except for 3 days over Christmas (24,25 & 26 December) & 3 days over New Year (31 December, 1  & 2 January).

Support the CLM life-guards as needed by -

• Ensuring all swimmers pay on entry, and allocating them with a wrist band.
• Updating the statistics - numbers of swimmers.
• Ensuring those at the pool respect the premises, ie. no riding bikes/scooter, no littering, no running around the pool, using appropriate language, etc.
• Enable each of the (2) life guards on duty to take at least a 15 minute break each, at times when there are less than 50 swimmers in the water.

Training
No training is required. You will be allocated a 'Summer Safe' Hi Vis vest.

Specific requirements
Good people skills. Able to manage children's behaviour.
However swimmers at the Tikipunga High School swimming pool during the community hours maintain a high standard of behaviour. Also the CLM life-guards are there to support you.
