Volunteer to deliver Te Reo Maori at NRCF
We are in need of volunteers that have a passion for Te Reo Maori. You will provide Te Reo Maori content to prisoners who have the interest.
These activities will take place with prisoners from the Remand Unit, located at the Northland Regional Correction Facility.
TrainingVolunteers will be taken through an intensive prison induction, teaching volunteers how to keep themselves aware of their environment and keep themselves safe.
Specific requirements- Volunteer will be fluent in Te Reo Maori and have the appropriate knowledge of the culture & tikanga.
- Volunteer must have good literacy and grammar
Be reliable and non-judgmental, punctual, personable, have good listening skills and patience
Provide 2 character references
Volunteers must be over 21 years of age
Complete a Department of Corrections Third Party Clearance Application.
Attend the induction provided by the Department of Corrections
