Regional Hub Coordinator

Local girls and young women need your help. GirlGuiding New Zealand is New Zealand’s largest girl-only organisation and it’s our vision to see that all girls and young women are inspired and empowered to take action to change their world, but we can’t do that without volunteers.

This opportunity is for a Regional Hub Co-Ordinator, a role, requiring a minimum of 3-4 hours each week, supported by the Area Manager, Upper North Island.
As a volunteer you will:
  • Provide effective leadership, direction and support to the  teams 
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive culture
  • Contribute to growth in membership of both volunteers and girls through  quality leadership and delivery of a well-balanced, relevant girl programme 
  • Ensure that there is a strong girl voice in the Region and that girls are heard and listened to
  • Ensure the Area Girl Advisory  and Participation group have opportunities to engage with the Regional Hub and that their voices are heard

Specific requirements
You will bring with you the following knowledge and skills:
  • Effective people management and leadership skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, using a variety of channels and technologies 
  • Effective co-ordination and organisational skills  
  • Openness to change and new ideas 
  • A good knowledge of your wider community - strong community relationships would be an advantage
