Reference nr. 2188 : Northland Down Syndrome Support Group
Administration Angel

Northland Down Syndrome Support Group is a not-for-profit group who support children and adults with Down syndrome and their whanau to feel fully included in their community. We provide networking and support groups for all life-stages, from babies and pre-schoolers to school children to adults. We support parents and carers through the journey of life with a child with Down syndrome and we help those children make lifelong friends along the way. We also work with schools and other education professionals to ensure that our children are successfully included in the school community and are able to maximise their learning potential during their schooling.

We are seeking an administration angel who will help our busy trustees in their day-to-day work. Tasks will be varied and will include:

  • Helping with managing events
  • Writing emails and letters
  • Updating our website
  • Keeping records for our resource library up to date
  • Basic book-keeping
  • Minute taking at Trust Board meetings

Work can be done from home and/or from our trustee’s home office in Whangarei. Having your own laptop would be helpful. We are keen to make use of your skills, so tell us what you can do—and what you want to learn to do—and we’ll do our best to shape the work to suit you.

Time commitment: 4-8 hours per week, any day of the week

Training and ongoing support provided as needed.
