Kai Iwi Lakes Open Day Volunteers

Whitebait Connection is running the Kai Iwi Lakes Open Day at Lake Waikare on anniversary weekend. The event wants to highlight the significance of the Kai Iwi Lakes and connect the local community as well as visitors to the Lakes. 

The event is run non-for profit and we have been struggling with funding this year. There are various volunteer positions available and we are flexible to suit the volunteers needs. Volunteers could be taking registrations, or helping visitors with evaluations and directions, or helping out at Whitebait Connection info stall. 



Training

Training provided on the day, camping the night before optional.

Reference could be provided if needed. 



Specific requirements

No special skills required, a reasonable level of English would be great as well as a general interest in conservation (optional). 

There are several positions available and we can discuss tasks to suit the volunteer.
