The New Zealand Cadet Corps (NZCC), is one of the three corps in the New Zealand Cadet Forces (the other two being the Air Training Corps (ATC), and Sea Cadet Corps (SCC)). All of its members, from the cadets themselves to the officers and the support committees are civilian volunteers.
There are currently 38 New Zealand cadet Corps Units in New Zealand. Each unit is managed by the Cadet Unit Commander, and his/her officers.
The Whangarei Unit meet Thursdays (6:30pm - 9:30pm) at the Airport in Onerahi.
We are looking for an administrator (treasurer) that looks after the finances of the Whangarei Unit. This involves:
- Membership fees
- Money handling
- Online bookkeeping (using Wave)
- Funding applications
It is expected that an experienced administrator needs about four hours a month for this role. The role suits people that are, or have been, responsible for the accounts of a "small but big" organisation.
- Confident with computers and internet banking.
- General book-keeping experience.
- Knowledge of "Wave" (online accounting system) a bonus.
