Predator Control Person
Looking for a trapper for Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. (we have a trapper for 2 other days of the week, but 4 days is better!)
The circuit is good for a healthy walk, takes roughly 1.5 hours each trapping day, there are 25 Rat traps to check, clear & re bait.
It is a very pleasant walk through thriving native plantings and it is good karma in the peaceful setting of the Sanctuary.
Set out, bait and maintain trap lines for control and disposal of vermin & predators. Eradication of these pests will give give the sanctuary native wildlife a chance to breed. Regular trapping for Rats, Mice, Stoats, Weasels, Ferrets & Possums will also help plants to thrive and protect seeds stock. Ongoing project, predators don't give up.
TrainingWe will assist with an introductory training session and call on NRC Biosecurity staff for training help as required. Traps & Baits supplied. Overalls, gumboots & gloves are also available on-site. Tea or Coffee provided.
