Planting Day Participants

(Also fits teams) Do you have a passion for riparian restoration and improving freshwater quality?  We're looking for a team of dedicated tree planters for a series of planting events held May to September 2018.

The Waitaua Awa Restoration Project aims to bring the community together with a shared goal to improve the health of the Waitaua Awa. The project started in 2003. We welcome planting day participants of all ages and abilities to contribute to a healthier Waitaua River.

Volunteers bring a spade and closed toe shoes - we provide some spades and gloves, hot soup and refreshments.

Planting location is to be confirmed - it will be somewhere along the Waitaua River and it's tributaries in Kamo, Glenbervie and Tikipunga, Whangarei

Please contact us and let us know your availability either on a weekend or weekday, and we'll add you to the team!
