Reference nr. 1765 : GirlGuiding New Zealand
Specialist Leader Co-ordinator

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring girls have opportunities to try new experiences and learn new skills.

In this position you would:
  • Co-ordinate a pool of specialist leaders and ensure they are given the direction and support needed to inspire girls in our programmes while providing their skills on a casual basis.
  • Be playing your part in helping inspire the next generation of young women in New Zealand by coordinating these leaders, who each have skills in their specialist subject area, be it kayaking, archery, photography or drama.
  • Be helping regular volunteers by providing extra experiences for their groups of girls aged from 5-17 yrs via Specialist Leaders.

Our aim is to create a safe space for young girls and women to learn & grow. We want them to try and explore new things as they develop their individuality. Girls and volunteers benefit along with the wider communities they are active in.

There is an extensive support network in GirlGuiding NZ. You would report to and have guidance from both volunteers and staff.
Time commitment is variable depending on personnel involved and activities being offered. Can be negotiated. The role would be predominantly carried out online, via email or on the phone.
